MANUEL TORRES DESIGN Spain has granted essence and luxury to the Retail project of RIUS DE FORNS, company of the year 1922 and of excellent craftsmanship specialized in the manufacture and sale of accessories such as headdresses, hats and veils
The new showroom of RIUS DE FORNS is located in the elegant neighborhood of Sarrià located in the upper area of Barcelona and has an exclusive portfolio of clients who work with such as Tot-Hom, Rosa Clará, Pronovias, etc.
The project consisted in the adaptation of a 65 m2 space that is divided into 5 zones: showroom, warehouse, atelier, tester and a service area; all under the scenographic setting of the golden age of the 20s as: leitmotiv of the project, along with the inspiration in COCO CHANEL as a historical reference of fashion and its beginnings in this same activity. The result is a mixture of contrasts that transports us to the luxury, elegance and sophistication of the early twentieth century in the Barcelona of the XXI century, a magical atmosphere endowed with a vintage look while at the same time avant-garde and eclectic; in short, a very bold concrete intervention.
To give identity to the project, RIUS DE FORNS transports you to the golden age of the early 20th century from the front where, both the shop windows and the access door, are carefully designed and in which the wood and the forge help us reinforce the air vintage promoted through corporate identity with aesthetics and typography according to the era.
It is worth mentioning the scenographic setting of the shop windows, equipped with gondolas suspended from the ceiling at different heights made of iron painted in black and wood. Where the different pieces designed to meet the needs of the showroom are supported by a light overhead and almost weightlessly before the consumer who walks down the street, evoking the care put in its implementation as well as meticulousness.
Tradition and quality are the concepts that are embodied in the form of noble materials, such as oak and black iron that we find both in the floor and in the vertical walls as well as in all the furniture, creating completely custom pieces for cover the needs of the atelier such as: niches, cupboards, gondolas, a sofa type Chester, Thonet style chairs, etc. Chester, Thonet-style chairs, etc. All this combined with a golden paper application placed on the ceiling and on the wall of the niches that, framed by a led light perimeter, enhances the personality and exclusivity of the store.
The spaces are clearly defined thanks to a marked scenographic lighting, studied in detail, which generates different scenes through a contrast of lights and shadows. A contrast that increases thanks to the smoke mirrors distributed throughout the room, mirrors that also add much space to the space.
The dressmaking workshop is separate from the rest of the showroom through a structure of retrolacado glass in black reinforced with a structure in wood so that it fuses perfectly with the set, providing privacy to the seamstresses while providing its customers with a retail customer experience unique and unparalleled.
MANUEL TORRES DESIGN has created a magical space, where you can give free rein to your imagination and the creation of headdresses, veils and accessories, since it is a place “Created to create”. The true protagonist is the product and the artisan talent, whose textures and colors want to stand out in a contemporary but cozy space at the same time.
