The Spanish multinational Mayoral Moda Infantil requested this commercial architecture project for the opening of its new store in Mexico City. In its mission to continue growing worldwide, Mayoral invested in three new locations in Mexico City, one of them being in the Toreo Parque Central Shopping Center. They commercialize children’s clothes and have a commercial presence in more than 100 countries.
The store with more than 134m² of usable space was renovated by Manuel Torres Design in a record time of 5 weeks. Thanks to our turnkey service, we worked day and night to meet the deadline.
This project aims to create an attractive and functional space for customers to have a satisfactory shopping experience in the Mayoral Moda Infantil store. It successfully portrays the vision and philosophy of Mayoral, adapting it to the aesthetics of this new franchise. For this purpose, we redistributed the spaces to suit the parameters of the master project. Likewise, we have complied with the brand standards, as well as coordinated and managed the legalization and permits.
Manuel Torres Design has accompanied the client in the construction phase of the premises, offering support and guidance throughout each step of the process. From the opening of the new store, taking care of fundamental parts as the disassembly and demolition of the previous establishment, to the subsequent lifting of the open-plan state of the premises and the redesign of the spaces.
Mayoral Moda Infantil Materials and Details
The materials used in the renovation belong to the highest quality. We installed porcelain floor tiles that are manufactured in full ceramic mass, making them resistant. This allowed us to make the space durable, which is fundamental due to the high traffic of a retail project.
The furniture, is made from solid wood, making it environmentally friendly due to its low carbon footprint. As for the lighting, all light sources use LEDs. We installed ceiling lights, and wall and furniture sconces using indirect and direct light. They provide a space that is pleasant, relaxing and inviting.
All of Mayoral’s stores include a notable feature in terms of lighting, a cloud in the center of the ceiling. Achieved with a floating ceiling in the shape of a cloud, accompanied by indirect perimeter lighting. It was key to this project to maintain throughout the design process the uniqueness of the Mayoral brand.
Another remarkable element is the use of neutral colors and smooth textures in both the furniture and the walls. This chromatic range is ideal for a store focused on selling children’s products. Consequently, it brings peace and tranquility to the shopping experience, making customers willing to stay in the store for a longer time, which translates to bigger purchases.
At Manuel Torres Design, we are experts in construction works for franchises. Bringing our skills, vision and effort to make this retail project come to life.
