The latest creation of the designer Manuel Torres is this elegant large-format wall luminaire.
The composition of DARKLIGHT BED and WALL comes from a triple and double body, respectively, combined by the interposition of rectangular shapes. The first one makes up the main base that serves as an anchor and as a support for high power and reflector LEDs at the same time thanks to its chromed steel finish.
This same base is also used for the indirect wall light projection by using high diffusion opalized polycarbonate in its upper and lower base. The outer bodies act as embellishers and diffusers of a scenic ambient light. The second body is provided internally with a black opal glass and externally made of glossy lacquered aluminum, with its edges folded and cut to the laser, which defines shadows that form an asymmetric precision pattern. Perpendicular to this, in the BED version, the third body is interposed, translucent and composed entirely of black opal glass, which projects a more environmental and uniform light.
Due to the architectural form of DARKLIGHT, two types of lighting are created. A vertical directed to the floor and ceiling that radiates a clear and direct light. Another more environmental and scenographic frontal projecting grayish tones that break like a penumbra on its sides.
Finally, for the BED version, a third type of lighting is created, which is a reading point composed of a moldable cable and provided with a prism made of glossy lacquered aluminum, which contains a LED source at its end.
Despite its generous dimensions and seemingly complex central body, DARKLIGHT is characterized by its perfect proportions and play of volumes that give lightness and an elegant sculptural character to the luminaire.
Its finish comes in five colors: black, white, green, blue and red.
